Founder goal-setting

We start by zooming out. Where do you want to be in 5–10 years — personally, not just the company? From there we work backwards to what you need to nail this year. One thing. Not a list.

Session 02

Every exec presents what their team contributes to the goal. We install the daily standup format live — first one runs in the room before the session ends.

Session 03
Full team rollout
Whole company · Week 1

All-hands. The goal is explained — why it matters, what everyone's role is. Then every team member picks their own daily habit that ties to the goal. Buy-in is high because nobody had it imposed on them. Weekly review rhythm is set — daily comes later, only where it makes sense.

What you experience, month by month.

Month 1
Install
Week 1Founder session. Exec session. Full team rollout. Goal is live by Friday.
Week 2Cornelius joins standups and runs working sessions with each team to bed in their habit.
Week 3First weekly review. Blockers named. Progress visible. Adjustments made.
Week 4Team owns the rhythm. Cornelius observes weekly review. First 1:1 coaching call with founder.
Month 2
Lock it in
Week 5–6Team runs the rhythm independently. Cornelius joins weekly reviews only.
Week 7Mid-cycle review. What's working, what isn't. Bar raised where the habit is solid.
Week 8End of Cycle 1. Full review. Goal hit or not — either way, you know exactly why.
Month 3
Cycle 2 — run faster
Week 9New goal set. Easier this time — team knows the system. Founder leads the session.
Week 10–11Same rhythm, sharper goal. Cornelius in weekly reviews. 1:1 coaching continues.
Week 12Mid-cycle check-in. System is running on its own. Small corrections only.
Month 4
Make it permanent
Week 13–15Team fully autonomous. Cornelius on standby. You run the weekly review yourself.
Week 16Final review. System handed over. It's yours — no dependency, no monthly retainer required.

Two rounds. Very different jobs.

Cycle 1 — Months 1 & 2
Install the system

You're learning. Cornelius is present. The goal is to get the habit running, not to win the quarter.

  • Goal moves faster — you now know what the team can handle
  • Cornelius coaching only — no facilitation
  • End goal: system runs permanently after we're done
